In Playback Theatre audience members share personal life experiences which are then spontaneously enacted by the performers. It was extremely moving and inspiring to hear educators tell stories about their professional and personal challenges, commitment to children and aspirations for their future schools. I was again struck by the power of Playback Theatre to bring people together and reconnect them to their deepest intentions.
Last night, we (London Playback Theatre) performed at Glaziers Hall by the River Thames to mark the completion of a year long training programme for aspiring head teachers, hosted by the National College for Teaching and Leadership.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary since St Johns Church in Northwood was used as a World War One hospital, Northwood Community Arts is hosting a performance event inspired by local stories about the VAD Hospital and ‘The Great War’.
I will be offering a series of creative interpretation workshops, incorporating drama, spoken word, movement and song. Participants will be guided to devise a performance piece inspired by oral histories, which have been collected by a team of volunteer researchers. The creative interpretation workshops are open to Northwood families, groups and individuals who would like to learn more about the past, be part of a theatre project and share their creativity and local history with the wider community. The devising process will culminate in a celebratory performance event on June 21st, 2014 between 2-4pm at the former World War One hospital, St Johns Church, Hallowell Road, Northwood.
