Everything Under the Sun is a celebration of stories and storytelling - four fabulous days of storytelling performances, documentaries, workshops, ceilidhs and music - hosted by the International School of Storytelling in Forest Row, East Sussex.
I will screen “Anandwan: Forest of Joy” on Saturday August 24 and Sunday August 25 at 5-6.15pm, and there will be a Q & A session after each screening.
“Anandwan: Forest of Joy” celebrates the enabling power of love through the personal stories of people whose lives have been transformed by Anandwan, an inspiring community founded more than 50 years ago by Baba Amte for people with leprosy in Central India. Today Anandwan is home to 3,500 residents and welcomes people from all over India who have been rejected by their societies due to leprosy or other physical disabilities, and restores their dignity and self-respect.
